Our Practice
At Smile Oralcare, we've built our practice with your comfort and care in mind! Founded by Martin G. Fallowfield in 2001, Oralcare has quickly become known for excellence, earning Denplan Regional Practice of the Year just 18 months after opening.
Our practice is all about using the latest, most advanced technology to make your visits as easy and comfortable as possible. We use digital, filmless X-rays that are quick, low-radiation, and eco-friendly-so no waiting and no harmful chemicals!
You can watch your charting live as it happens and can even view your X-rays, scans and photographs right on the ceiling screens during your treatment. Alternatively you can watch TV with subtitles ( we don't want to get distracted ourselves)
And we've got the most comfortable dental chairs around!
We're proud to have Jacqui, one of the first dental therapists, on our team. She's fantastic with kids and is always working on ways to make our treatments even better for young smiles.
Plus, we have Juliette, she uses an amazing air- polisher that works wonders on stains and helps prevent decay and gum disease. She is also trained in Guided Biofilm Therapy pioneered by EMS Dental. Juliette has a special interest in the treatment of gum disease and oral health of women during the menopause.

Martin is the owner and founder of the Smile Oralcare practice. He moved to the area in 1981 and founded his own practice in 1983. For 17 years he helped it grow into a highly successful enterprise. Martin then decided that the time was right for a new kind of dental practice. Oralcare was developed over a 4 year period and finally came to fruition in February 2001.
He is a gadget freak and has more than a passing interest in wines.
Martin particularly enjoys aesthetic (cosmetic) dentistry and working in partnership with patients to prevent dental disease. He is a practitioner of Hypnosis and uses a fast-phobia-cure for other phobias as well as dentistry.
Outside of the practice Martin worked for Denplan as their Professional Liaison Officer until 2023. He previously had strong links with the British Dental Association, where he was a member of the Principal Executive Committee and going on to be Chair of the BDA’s Principal Executive Committee (PEC) from July 2012 until February 2014.

Kacim graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
He grew up in the local area and is passionate about providing high-quality dental care to his community.
Kacim enjoys all aspects of general and family dentistry and has a particular interest in preventive care and minimally invasive treatments. He has attended a number of advanced training courses to expand his clinical skills and ensure his patients receive the best possible care. Kacim has a special interest in Orthodontics and provides clear aligner treatments such as Invisalign to help patients enhance their smiles.
His approachable manner and focus on patient comfort make him popular with patients of all ages, and he is looking forward to welcoming new clients to the practice.

Nami graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and went on to complete postgraduate training, achieving Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCPS) and a Master’s degree in Periodontology.
He has developed a strong clinical focus on gum health, periodontal treatment, and implant dentistry, helping patients achieve long-lasting oral health.
In addition to his specialist training, Nami provides a wide range of general and restorative dental care, making him a versatile member of the team. He regularly updates his knowledge through international courses and seminars to keep up with the latest advances in dentistry.
Nami’s calm and thorough approach helps patients feel at ease, and he is excited to meet and care for new patients at the clinic.

Carol has known Martin since 1992. Working as his dental nurse at Cathedral Square.
In 2001 Carol came to Martin’s rescue working as his nurse and receptionist whilst his nurse was on maternity leave.
Carol then left the practice to pursue her own carer running a Fancy Dress Business in March, Cambridgeshire, but still kept popping back to provide relief cover.
After selling her business in 2008 Carol returned to the practice as a dental nurse. In 2011 she progressed to becoming the Practice Manager. Carol is usually the first person to greet you when entering the practice.

Jose Gil Bernaza is a general dental practitioner with a special interest in endodontics. He is currently training on a three-year master’s program. His professional qualifications also include CBCT levels 1 and 2 as an adjunct to his dental practice. He routinely performs root canals on all teeth.
Jose has extensive general dentistry and endodontic experience and can treat complex cases such as curved roots, retreatments, and teeth with calcified root canals. This is of course subject to prior evaluation. He aims whenever possible, to restore teeth in the same session to avoid fractures or leaks that can result from of a temporary filling.

Karen joined the practice as Martin’s nurse in 2011, she is now also head nurse.
She has an enthusiasm for dentistry and after gaining her National Diploma in Dental Nursing (NEBDN) Qualification she went on to gain qualifications in Radiography, Oral Health Education and Sedation.
Since being with Smile Oralcare she has taken courses in extended duties and can now also remove sutures, take impressions and construct bleaching trays.
Out of work she is an animal lover and enjoys walking in the countryside to see what wildlife she can spot. She also enjoys reading, crafts, swimming and spending time with friends and family.

Vicky is a newer addition to our team. She has been working in dentistry for 5 years and gained her National Diploma in Dental Nursing (NEBDN) Qualification in 2024.
She was a head nurse previously and brings enthusiasm and knowledge to the practice. She has a passion for learning and is looking forward to gaining further knowledge and experience to improve her career.

Jacqui qualified as a Hygienist in 1989 and went on to take her qualification in Dental Therapy at Liverpool Dental School in 2005.
She worked for the practice for many years and also previously with Martin at Cathedral Square, leaving for a short while but returning to us in 2012. Patients are delighted to see her return as she has come to know many of them very well over the years.
Jacqui also had a spell working with the Royal Army Dental Corps in Germany and at the Officer Military Training Academy at Sandhurst. Jacqui's whole working life has been in dental practice and she is as enthusiastic now as ever. She has made it her passion to stay up-to-date with all the latest technical advances which contributes to her being such an exceptional professional. She is always friendly and always smiling.
Jacqui works at the practice every Tuesday, Thursday until late evening and Friday.

Juliette is an award-winning dental hygienist and trained nutritionist with over thirty years’ experience having a special interest in the treatment of gum disease and the care of dental implants. She qualified from Birmingham University School of Dental Hygiene in 1981 with further study at the London Hospital Medical College. She studied nutrition with Patrick Holford at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 1993.
Juliette has lived in the Peterborough area for the last 42 years and had worked with Martin from 1982 to 1996 at his Cathedral square practice.
Juliette trained in Switzerland and the US in the latest treatments for gum disease, dental implant care and the maintenance of cosmetic dentistry. She is one of only two dental hygienists in the UK to hold the ADIA Implant Auxiliary Certification. She is an elected council member to the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and a member of the Education Committee. She is senior UK tutor to the EMS Swiss Dental Academy and clinical director of Perio-Nutrition. She is an international speaker and media spokesperson for a number of multi-national corporations including Philips Oral Healthcare and Wrigley.
Juliette received a lifetime achievement award for Outstanding Contribution to Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2014 and was honoured to be the proud recipient of the prestigious Dr Gerald Leatherman Award. She is passionate about cooking, music, art, travel, writing and dentistry!
